JOTA/JOTI in Bukit Mertajam is one of the biggest in Malaysia with more than 500 participants every year.
JOTA/JOTI is the biggest youth event in the world,
in which 500,000 scouts and guides communicate with each other through amateur radio and the internet.
JOTA/JOTI is held simultaneously all over the world on the third full weekend of October every year.
